Puppy Plus

Our Puppy Plus/Teens program is a comprehensive 4-week course designed to help older puppies learn more complex and useful life skills in busy and distracting environments.

This course emphasises the importance of socialisation while fostering a strong work ethic in dogs. By participating in group training, your dog will learn to remain calm, polite, and attentive regardless of the surrounding distractions. This is particularly beneficial for teenage dogs, as it helps them develop essential social skills and adapt to various environments. Training in a group setting also allows dogs to learn from observing their peers, which can accelerate their learning process and improve their behaviour.

Our curriculum includes more advanced lead work, such as Heel and Loose leash, as your puppy is now old enough to learn more complex behaviours. This course is also ideal for both anxious and overly excitable young dogs, providing them with the tools to become the perfect canine companion.

Each lesson will build on theoretical knowledge, helping you understand not only what to do but why. This enables you to problem-solve behaviours and introduce new ones as your puppy develops, ensuring the course is tailored to your specific needs rather than a generic catch-all.

🐾Frequently asked questions🐾

  • All of our lessons are held at our secure training paddock only 3 miles outside of Elgin.

We have ample parking and toilets on site.

Full address can be provided upon enquiry.

  • You only need to bring what you usually take on a walk (including high-value treats e.g. cooked chicken, liver treats, etc) and I will supply the rest.

As we are positive only, we do not recommend the use of slip leads in class, so please make sure your dog has a neck collar/harness and a lead.

Please do remember to dress appropriately as the Scottish weather can be erratic and it is an open space.

  • A discount may be offered for those with multiple puppies. Please contact us to learn more.

  • Each lesson is scheduled for an hour with 45-50 minutes making up the lesson with the remaining time for Q&A.

  • All the members of your household are welcome to participate in both 1-1 and group lessons!

Children are to supervised at all times (or to remain on a lead for the duration of the lesson!)

  • We assess each group to see if off lead play will be beneficial and safe.

The key focus for this course is for your puppy learning to listen to you around other people and dogs.
